Hello, I’m Marina.

This is my official first blog and I don’t even know what to write about. Certainly somewhere someone had started out like I have. Honestly, I have thought on how I would start talking about this and that but really I am and I feel that I am just a regular human being. I have the same ambitions than the next and I can do as much as someone can do as long as I put my best foot forward.

If you read my information on my author’s page then you know a little about me already and that’s great. I started writing back in 2015 which finishing my first novel, “Her Million Miles, The Drive Series; Book One,” in 2016. My second book was finished in 2017, “Imperfect Crossroads, The Drive Series; Book Two.” My recent book was finished in 2018, “Oliver’s Road, The Drive Series; Book Three.” However, my last book in this series as yet to have a title as it is my WIP or (work in progress) and it will be out sometime in late year of 2019.

Occurring at the same time I have a sub-series called, “Dark Secrets,” that tells readers about the characters and their backgrounds that are embodied around the MC or (main character) that is in The Drive Series. I have Volume 1, 2 & 3 out already and 4 is in the editing phase as I type. As of right now they all can be found on Amazon and soon to be on other platforms as I can make this possible.

Now, I didn’t mean to make this a plug-in for my books however, if you are going to get to know me and what I am doing then it is necessary for me to tell about them as these are my first two real series to show my talents as a writer/author.

I want to think that it is possible to reach others to encourage them to reach for their dreams as well. I am not a miracle worker but I would like to think that I am someone that my readers would like to know more about.

After these two series, I have 45 books just waiting in the wings either to finish or begin. I have always liked novels that you can’t get your nose out of; a page turner if you will. I love all sorts of books but find it hard to read horror books since the very first book I read was Cujo and the second was Pet’s Cemetery by Stephen King. Both those books haunted me for years as a kid because every pet I saw I thought they were all like the animals in the books.

Needless to say, I grew out of it and soon loved dogs and cats though I found myself allergic to cats unfortunately.

In my new found passion of writing, I read many others like the Babysitter’s Club by Ann M. Martin, Race against Time by Nancy Drew, The Hardy Boys by Franklin W. Dixon and last but not least Tiger Eyes by Judy Blume. All of which was my escape as a kid to a teenager.

As some can relate to what I am saying; I really see me as an author and a writer most of all. I love making up stories as I did for my classes when I was younger.

Some have even asked, “Why so late did I start writing?”

One word sums that up clearly, “Life.”

Though ups and downs and ins and outs there is always life in general to deal with no one is immune. It is clear, I do have so much to learn but life is the learning curve of anything we do.

It is in the hopes that people can see that being who you are can open doors to all possible possibilities and a moment of a leap of faith can go much farther than once thought.

To the many more blogs ahead I want to be able to reach out to my readers as they get to know my characters in the first series. I will be expanding who they are and giving some tips on how to start writing along with areas of interests like who you can go to for book covers, how to start out a book, places to find editors, formatting, and platforms you can use. All of which I have learned along the way. I am not an expert but I feel it is only right to help others reach their goals as a writer/ indie author.
