Indie or Finding an Agent

Hey Everyone,
Today, I will discuss Indie or Agent. I personally went the Indie way because I felt at the time I just
wanted to get my message out there quicker. However, in no means did I feel that I knew everything
but I did feel that I couldn’t find the right person for me at the moment.
I have spoken to many people and they also feel that Indie is the way to go without having to deal
with deadlines, someone else taking your royalties, scammers and so forth. I love creating new
exciting places, characters, the causes & effects and everything in between which brings readers at
their edge of their seats while reading my books.
The cons I see are that you have to do your own marketing, editing, formatting, etc. This is where an
agent would come in. The agent would do all of the above and then some. They are there to help
you succeed in your writings and your career.
As I previously discussed in blog #2 about fiction & non-fiction, “Fiction is about being
vulnerable,” and “Fiction can teach, exclaim, mesmerize, and many other things and feelings for
your readers.” Non-Fiction is about the preciseness of actual events, people & places as the story is
told.
Either way you slice it… It is totally up to you how you will proceed after your novel is done.
Through my own discoveries I did some research and found some interesting Agents for a set few
genre’s below.
