What is your message that you want to write about?

Hey Everyone,
Today, I was thinking about what I wanted my books to be about when I
first started to write them. The Drive Series is a metaphor so to speak. As
you are in a car what do you look out the most. The front windshield, right,
so in seeing this we often look in to our future destination. However, we
also see three different other views as we ride along. We look at our side
views to show our directions to which we must move to. It is either the left
or the right and we change them accordingly. Then we must also look back
over our shoulders a time or two; to make sure we don’t make same
mistakes again.
This is much like my series; a teaching lesson if you will. In my first book,
Her Million Miles, Sabrina seeks out her past through her parents’ eyes
which this is looking back over her shoulders to make sure she doesn’t
make the same mistakes they did. In the second book, Imperfect
Crossroads, Sabrina finds her way long enough to see which direction she
should take in her life. This is in the case of looking from different
perspectives of her life.
In the third book, Oliver’s Road, Sabrina is yet again facing down her
perspectives as she faces several foes from her past, present, and quite
possible futures direction. However, in the fourth book, Journey’s End,
Sabrina must decide if her future is her directive in life. This is which she
must glaze through the front windshield as her life drives toward
something or someone. However, I can’t divulge what happens in this
book any more than I should since hasn’t been written.
Although, the metaphor is there for this series. There is also a word for it
as well and that word is “Truth.”
When I started to write this series; I myself included had to learn my own
truth. I had to seek my truth if I was a good enough writer as so many in
my past told me I wouldn’t amount to anything in my life. I had to find my
own truth knowing I was a good writer, a dreamer, and a determined soul
to pursue my dreams. A wonderful friend once told me, “I had to accept
the things I cannot control but I could accept the ride of a lifetime ahead.”
Just as Sabrina must decide if she, herself can accept her own destiny.
Both Sabrina and I are a lot alike and yet different. She will decide in
“Journey’s End,” if she can live her truth as I will too in mine.
As I take my metaphor and my truth to higher levels so must others who
push through their own diversities. We all grow in some way to see our
dreams become realities in this world.
So, if I was asking you…
What is your message that you want to write about?
I would say to you. Write with the intent of opening someone else’s eyes to
your message. Break the barriers when you may think no one is watching
and see it through with all your blood, sweat and tears. Let the world know
what you are feeling or have found within yourself. Never quit on your
dreams because after all they are just dreams if you don’t go after them in
the long run.
I hope this has helped you today on your path for writing your truths
